Initial Consultation

A 60-minute working session that covers:

  • Current admission trends and how colleges evaluate applicants
  • Review of high school transcript and upcoming coursework
  • Review of family priorities and college goals
  • College admission testing results and differences between SAT/ACT
  • Discussion of extracurricular activities and summer priorities
  • Resources on how to evaluate colleges
  • Many useful handouts and a map showing U.S. colleges.

Cost: $250 – Fee can be applied to either the Partial or Comprehensive Plans

Partial Plan

Designed for students who need focused work on specific aspects of the college process.  The emphasis is on developing a targeted college list by taking into account academic, extracurricular and personal interests. 8 additional meetings after initial consult will include:

  • Preparation of college lists of schools uniquely suited to the student
  • Effectively evaluating schools and how to strategically “demonstrate interest”
  • Guidance on 2-3 additional aspects of the admission process (interview, etc)
  • Planning, email and phone correspondence between meetings.
  • Families initiate the timing of meetings and manage admission deadlines
  • Discounted pricing on summer workshops

Comprehensive Plan

Support in all aspects of the admission process from initial consultation to enrollment

  • Analysis of student’s interests, strengths, skills and academic/extracurricular goals
  • Access to personalized college research platform
  • Exploration of the majors offered at different colleges and universities
  • Research and development of multiple drafts of a personalized college list
  • Guidance on high school course selection and use of summer months
  • Coaching for college visits and interviews
  • Recommendations for SAT / ACT preparation, timing and score submission

  • ACT & SAT testing prep or tutoring (referrals available)
  • Writing essays for clients
  • Completing FAFSA or scholarship forms (we specialize in merit scholarships)
  • Writing recommendation- this is done by the high school teachers and guidance counselor
  • Contacting admissions officers to promote admission
  • Guaranteed admission to any specific college
